12. Enrolment/Application Terms And Conditions
The information provided by the student to the APGS may be made available to Commonwealth and State agencies and the Fund Manager of the ESOS Assurance Fund, pursuant to obligations under the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code. APGS is required under s19 of the ESOS Act 2000 to tell the Department of Immigration Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) about changes to a student’s enrolment and any breach by a student of a student visa condition relating to attendance or satisfactory academic performance

Please bring to your audition:
  • Copy of birth certificate/passport
  • Copy of most recent academic report or transcript (secondary and/or tertiary)
  • Copy of other relevant qualifications, achievement and/or references
  • One recent passport photograph
  • Proof of English proficiency for international student application
Audition Details
For successful entry into APGS you will be required to sit an audition and interview with the audition panel. The audition should include 2-3 performances of contrasting style (or 1 major and 1 minor work) that also represent your best attributes. A backing CD/DVD/band can be used for accompaniment or arrange your own accompanist.

Refund Policy
  1. To apply for a refund, you must complete a Refund Application Form and submit it to the APGS Administration Office.
  2. Enrolment Acceptance Fee, "Friends of APGS" Fee and airport pick-up fees are NOT refundable.
  3. Tuition fees are refundable in full, less enrolment fee and administration costs, if a Visa application is rejected and the official rejection advice is made available to APGS.
  4. Enrolment cancellations:
    • If more than 28 days before enrolment date then you will receive 90% of the tuition fees within 28 days of Refund Application being submitted.
    • If less than 28 days before enrolment date then you will receive 75% of the tuition fees within 28 days of Refund Application being submitted.
    • If you cancel your enrolment on or after the enrolment date, the tuition fees WILL NOT be refunded. No exceptions made.
  5. APGS reserves the right to cancel or defer courses, and to alter course timetables and class locations.
  6. Where APGS cancels or defers a course which has already begun or is unable to deliver your course for any reason, the proportion of all tuition fees paid to APGS will be refunded equivalent to the proportion of the course that has not been delivered within 14 days of the day on which the course ceased to be provided.
  7. Monies to be refunded will be paid directly to the source from which they were received.
  8. A refund in respect of an enrolment received through an agent will normally be made to you through that agent.
  9. Refunded fees will also incur an additional administration charge of 5% of the original course fee.
  10. This agreement does not remove the right to take further action under Australia’s Consumer Protection Laws or prevent you from seeking other legal remedies.


Conditions of Entry and Retention of a Place
  1. Students are to attend school throughout the year and to abide by the school rules.
  2. Parents and students are expected to co-operate with APGS concerning matters of attendance, behaviour and application and are expected to support the full APGS philosophy and ethos.
  3. APGS reserves the right to discipline, suspend or expel any student at the discretion of the Principal.
  4. Students must wear the School uniform as prescribed on all occasions when it is directed that they shall do so.
  5. Upon acceptance of a place into the APGS High School, a non-refundable Enrolment Acceptance Fee plus the refundable deposit per student is required to secure the students place.
  6. All School Fees and other charges are due and payable at the time specified on the account being rendered unless other arrangements are agreed with the School. The School's scale of fees may be varied from time to time.
  7. All School Fees are charged annually or term payments are due on or before the first day of each term.
  8. Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged on tuition fees, if the fees are not paid within (7) days of the first day of each term.
  9. When an Enrolment is accepted it is on the understanding that the student will complete their education at The Australian International Performing Arts High School.
  10. Once the student is in attendance at the School, at least one term’s notice of withdrawal must be given, in writing, to the Principal. In default of such notice, the refundable deposit is forfeited.
  11. The School Principal reserves the right to terminate the attendance and enrolment of any student whose lack of progress or whose conduct behaviour is, in the opinion of the Council, an embarrassment to the School.
  12. Parents and guardians are reminded of their responsibility to notify the School of a change of address. Enrolment will automatically lapse if call-up notices are returned unclaimed or unacknowledged after one month of mailing date.
  13. This application places your child on an interview list but does not guarantee entry into the School.
  14. Entrance to the School is at discretion of the Principal. An interview, audition and previous school reports are all factors, which may be taken into account in offering places at the School. The School will contact you for an interview and audition. It is following this procedure that the Principal will offer successful applicants a place in the School.

I/We understand by submitting this Application for Enrolment Form I/We shall be jointly and severally liable for all monies payable to the School arising out of the enrolment. My/Our liability to the School is not affected by any agreement I/We make with each other nor by any order of the Family Court of Australia.
